Pasifika Film Fest is proud to celebrate 10 years in 2025. This year PFF will work with community, film industry and partners in the region to deliver a range of activities. These will include Climate Story Lab: Pacific 2025 (Suva) and Yumi Stap Wantaim 72 Hour Film Challenge and Film Festival (Goroka / Port Moresby). More information below.

CSL: Pacific 2025
Current storytelling around climate in the Pacific tends to focus on the narrative of vulnerability. Through CSL: Pacific ‘25, PFF will work with Pacific storytelers to develop their projects for pitching to industry, through workshops. CSL Paciifc will take place in Suva in July 2025.
Yumi Stap Wantaim
Yumi Stap Wantaim 72-Hour Film Competition and Film Festival will take place in Goroka and Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea, from June 9 – 22, 2025.
PFF will partner with the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade to celebrate PNG's 50th anniversary of independence and PNG storytelling through the theme “Shared Stories, Stronger Ties”.
YSW Film Challenge will bring together 12 participants to create short films within 72 hours, under the mentorship of industry professionals. These films will premiere at the YSW Film Festival in Goroka, followed by a major screening event in Port Moresby from June 19 – 22, 2025.
